We introduced a dynamic homepage landing with a more personalised editorial section that tells the unique story around some of the more special objects up for auction.
The new grid system is designed to adapt to varying screen widths and ensures an optimal viewing experience across most popular screen sizes - ranging from phones to large desktop.
Some of the most popular main categories are clustered together for easy access. Colours are carefully chosen to go well with the lots. Since each main category has it’s own distinct colour it’s easily recognisable as you browse.
CATEGORY PAGES
Like the homepage, each category has it’s subcategories at the top to show what’s for sale at a glance. Right below are the featured auctions for this category, hosted by Catawiki’s experts on a weekly basis.
A playful cluster of images let's users view objects from different angles at a glance. The color backdrop is live generated from the images provided, so that it brings the images together as a whole. The bidding block provides all the relevant information to start bidding.
With lots on auction for a limited time only, it is important to show how much time is still left to place your bid. Bid presets allows you to then quickly prefill the amount, so you can start bidding.
Through progressive disclosure, we show additional bidding costs in-time so users don't feel overwhelmed. With Catawiki's experts sharing their estimate you are sure do always get a fair deal.
